Reading God's Word Intentionally.

Shortly after Lohan and Amy got married, Amy noticed she was struggling with retaining God's Word while reading and wanted to be more intentional with it. She had watched her father for a number of years spend his morning hours hand-copying the book of Psalms into a worn-out spiral notebook. She thought back to those times and wondered why he did that. After testing it out for herself, she realized the incredible value that comes from hand-copying Scripture as she read. She began to read slower and the words began to stick into her mind. She noticed things she had read over many times in the past but never understood or seemed to actually see.

She realized after a while that, although it was a wonderful method of reading, it wasn't the most practical thing for her to carry around a Bible, a notebook, pens, and a journal. Not to mention, she had a hard time designated journals for one specific thing. Usually, they got filled with anything from journal entries and Scripture writing to grocery lists and story ideas.

She decided she needed something specific to help increase her intentionality when reading the Bible. That is when she created her first version of The Copy Bible for the first 40 chapters of Psalms.

After watching her work through it, her husband, Lohan requested His own version of Proverbs.

That is when they both saw how much of a blessing these books were. They began to share them with friends and family, and since then, they have grown beyond their own sphere and have been blessed to share them with many other people.

Their goal is to continue to share them and to utilize them with the goal of having a life overflowing with Scripture.

All we want is to live a life that is overflowing with God's Word. Both his written and spoken.
